michigan road trip

heres a few pics from this past weekend. I took a weekend road trip to the UP of michigan. Theres a lot of good logging roads up there to go on, I just didn't have a whole lot of time to check some out. I guess that will be for another time.

the lake and the hills around it is in the porcupine mountains state park, its about 10 miles west of ontonagon, mi. its in the western park of the UP.

I drove up I-39 through illinois and wisconsin to ironwood, mi

I actually didn't get to do any wheelin. I guess I should have brought a better map. mud/dirt roads were about the extent of my driving, which was nice to get away from traffic on the 2 lane highways.

BEAUTIFUL PICTURES! I didn't know the UP had any mountains at all. I am actually thinking about selling the house and moving the family up there for a better living.
