I went out and bought this:

This is the first time since my Jeep's purchase (brand new) from 2004 that I actually did a clay job/polish job on it. Thanks Blake for instilling the bug to make the KJ clean!!

The hood with the left side dirty and the right side after clay bar. It was amazing how smooth the right side was compared to the dirt/acid rain/and other crap that built up.

Wax time to make it shine after the clay bar.

The final result was amazing. Here is my reflection!! Look at that, never seen this since the first day I bought the KJ..........

That is awesome. Great job.

I bought that same kit, but havn't used it yet. I didn't want to mess it up or something, but I like how the black looks after you clayed it. The black is beautiful.

First time for me to ever do something like this!! I was hoping it would all go well and it definitely did. I want to try and take the scratches out and the marks from 3 years of dirt/snow/ice/salt/trees/sand/mud/gravel/rain/ etc...

Maybe a porter cable will do?

It took just about an hour and a half. Just took my time and cleaned sections at a time first. The clay bar looked like gunk and I'm not even sure I can use it again. The kit comes with 2 bars so I have a new one for next time. :)

I should drop my Jeep off at my father's house one day. He's great at this. I'll have him do it while I sit down and watch TV. :)
