Running out to the store now to buy an allen wrench big enough to undo the fill plug on the transmission. Anyone know the size off hand? Im going to try to find a set but it is quite large. Around 3/4" but hard to tell.

14mm and 17mm. one is fill, the other is drain. it's pretty obvious which is which when you look. :)

if you haven't started already:
take a wire brush to the outside where the plugs are to knock the crud off
spray some penetrating lube on them and let it sit.
then spray some more.
I remember my fill plug being VERY scary to remove, in that it felt all the world like it was going to tear the threads out of the casing.

My fill plug actually came out with minimum effort. It's funny how some bolts rust and others don't....
