I have an 05 Liberty and my front end was making a crunching noise when I hit bumps that really compressed my front end. So I took it to a shop where they told me I needed shocks, struts, and tires. So I figured why the hell not, so I bought rusty's a suspension lift kit that included the socks and struts. My car still makes the same crunching when I hit large bumps. Any ideas??

When it is cold outside? or regardless of weather? Search for sway bar bushings. $5 fix.

I believe several people have that (I am one) and it's been identified as the control-arm bushings.

The jury is still out if it's a problem, or if you should lubricate them. Some people say you should, some people say it will damage them. I haven't touched mine, and I live with the noise. And the noise only occurs when the temperature drops below about 50 degrees. Once the weather warms up, the noise goes away.

same here, i use light sewing machine oil, but i think almost anything might do as long as it wont degrade rubber.

Are there aftermarket sway bar bushing available? Is it safe to continue to drive on them like this?
