He probably has the wrong spec ones that are el cheapos at $75 per pair.
You get what ya pay for.
The ones I am waiting for are Spidertrax in 5 x 4.5 @ 1.25 inch thick. (made 4 jeeps)
They are still out for delivery for 1.5 hours yet, will believe it when I see them here.

I'm following posts on another Jeep forum where some guy bought a set of wheel spacers off off eBay. He can't seem to get the lug nuts threaded enough to hold the spacers safely. Here's hoping you don't have the same issue.

Must be cheap knock off's.

Tim, just use the Loctite that came with the spacers. It's exactly the same
stuff only without the label!
Works fine!
I used the same on our spacers and No Problems.
Save your money for some real MAN TIRES!

Yeah the eBay ones definitely weren't Spidertrax.

Maybe he can bore out the openings for the studs.

With a name like "CJ Bargins", what do you expect!
I wouldn't bore bore out the openings for the studs.
That will just weaken them! Not to mention that the recess for the new
nuts is cut too close to the edge of the spacer.
What is pictured sure as he!! does not look like what he bought!
Considering you don't really know what quality the aluminium that they
are using.(Despite the fact that they claim "Made of 6061-T6 aircraft
billet aluminum"???)
I would cut my losses and use them as paper weights myself!
No way in he!! I would use that crap.

But if he does decide to use them, then he is better off fitting longer
wheel studs so he has the proper amount of material going through
the spacer so he can bolt them on properly.

It is a problem with the length of studs or a problem in manufacturing the el cheapo spacers.
He may be ale to find a slightly longer stud.
SpiderTrax Instructions I will throw in..

Finally not raining here, got the SpiderTrax 5x4.5 x 1.25 spacer installed.
Cleaned the stock studs with brake cleaner first, some Locktite, and ebrake held rear no problem.
A person holding the brake pedal in, without Jeep running allowed the SpiderTrax lugs in the front to be torqued in at 90 lbs.

Even after the lift, the 245-65-17 were rubbing bad enough you could not do a tight turn going forward at all..which sucked bad.
Tire pushed out from wheel well...Tire Rubbing Be GONE!!

What an improvement! No tire rub, much more level in turns. You could tell the roof basket was heavy and causing the Jeep to lean in turns. Not any more!
The extra width at highway speeds is sure footing.....Took a turn 45 mph was shocked!
Real Happy Now!

Wow, what a difference in the stance. I like it. How does it ride? No rubbing issues right?

Yes Dave as mentioned above & shown in photos no more rubbing issues.
The handling is freaken awesome. Quite the improvement. Impressed.
I will have to remove all 4 tires again to check that all the new Spidertrax lugs are re-torqued again.
SpiderTrax recommends a re check at 50 miles.
This was the missing piece of the handling lift puzzle.

Tim, that looks AWESOME!! :smokin:

What I like about your KJ build is that the Libby is aggressive without being over-the-top "off-roady", if you know what I mean. You and Ryan have done a great job building Jeeps that can be comfortable, safe daily drivers and yet go off-road any time you want since you have assembled the proper lifts, tires and accessories.

Just showed my wife the pics of your Libby with the spacers - "Yea, I like that a lot. Can you do that to our Jeep?"

You bet I can...! :party52:

Thank You Bob! That is quite the compliment and I am glad your wife likes the KJ so far. It sure has come along ways since stock. After driving Ryan & Jen's rig it was so much better than my :pp: stocker! I have to say without many here in the forums, it would not have happened. You could say Ryan has been a big inspiration for me as their rig was solid and felt like a real Jeep should. Today my rig finally feels awesome enough to say.. about time!
I had it on the highway and then re torqued the front Spidertrax that were still tight. The highway run was smoother than ever felt before. The spacers have made a substantial benefit both in handling and steering without any rubbing problems. It does make me wonder now when I replace the tires if I now have enough room to run 265-70-17's? Sure would like to try ha ha...
Here are a few shots from this am. I like my KJ now a lot!

Also Jayme & Dick, complements making me feel great today! Thanks!!!
Now time to take off the rear wheels and torque up rear spacers ! :smokin:

Y'know after seeing the after pics I'm now interested in getting a set of wheel spacers for my Libby. Maybe not so much spacing though.

Thanks -Another Photo!

Now ready for a boogie, got the rear tightened up so that concludes the second re-torque all the way around.
Here is one more front /side view!

There were a lot of pictures with jeeps running on spacers, and if those did not make you buy one, I don't see how his pictures make anyone buy it, other than it is just another awesome looking liberty, that's all. :)
Buy the way, I applaud the decision of keeping 17's on, it makes it look even better with big rims.

PS: McGard's locks broke on me before, leaving me stranded on the side of the road when I had a flat, until AAA towed me away. I hope their nuts are of better quality.

I thought about spacers awhile ago, but don't need them anymore due to the Moabs - the backspacing gives a wide enough stance that I like. :)
