If I wanted to replace some or all of the hydraulic lifters in my 3.7 do I need to find TDC and hand crank as I go or can I just use the valve spring compression tool to gain access and replace one by one?

Both. The Piston needs to be below TDC on the compression stroke. So there is no pressure on the lifter. Replace them all

Thought that may be the case. Thanks for the reply! May leave this up to my shop. I've not done engine internals before unless you want to count spark plugs.
