I like both.
My 2005 had the awesome CRD. I had to park it due to some noise that indicated bearing problems. So it's not ruined, just waiting for me to decide what to do with it. I sure miss that low end torque.
Bought a 2012 bright red, love that color. It's weird they both have the same 0-60 stats but the diesel feels so much stronger from the start. My 2012 with the 3.7 doesn't seem to have much oomph till it hits 3,000rpm but then it really starts moving. Go figure that.
I had to relearn how to park the 2012 because the higher fenders made it seem like I was really close to a pole when I was still two feet away. It feels like the 2012 has more room, I like that.
I bought the 2005 brand new, really learned to love that thing. It now has 285,000 miles and everything still works good except for the suspicious noise that might be worn crankshaft bearings.
