KJ Chrysler 8.25

Okay so I am led to believe the '02 Limited has a Mopar 8.25 rearend. But how do I tell which spline I have? ARB offers two AirLockers for the 8.25. 29 & 27 spline.

The Mopar 8 1/4" is a 29 spline.

Thanks for the reply. I figured as much but thought I'd ask just to be sure so as not to make a time consuming mistake (ordering the ARB).

is there another rear end they put in the libby or something? y is there 2 different ones?

Yeah, they put a Dana 35 in the 4 cylinder models. There's a rumor that Jeep also put some Dana 35s behind some of the VERY EARLY (2002) V6 models, but I don't know if that has been verified or not.

ARB and the KJ

If you are placing an order for the ARB for your KJ yes it is a 29 spline BUT...there is a very special ARB just for the KJ because it has a tone ring for the speedo on the carrier. You must be sure that you get the ARB for the KJ. Later...Clint
