Wondering how much effort and detail forum members put into keeping there rigs clean. Do you wash it just for upkeep and rarely go farther than a quite splash and dash? Or, do you spend hours per month with a fine-tooth comb?

Don't ask HJ... :D :p

I make sure mine gets washed once a week, regardless of weather. In the winter, I'm more apt to just use the automatic touchless wash - the one with the underbody wash to help get rid of all the road salt.

In the summer, I'll take it through the manual bay and do it myself. On exceptionally nice days when I have a lot of time on my hands, it will get washed/polished/waxed/detailed in the driveway. That's only 1-2x/year.

Every weekend I usually spend 1 hour on it, then mid summer I do a little touch up, which takes about 2 hours, ditto for mid winter. Then the major ones, which are about 4 hours, twice a year...

I do two major detail sessions per year, once after winter has cleared to get all the gunk and salt out of her crevices, clay and wax, and once right before winter starts to get a good coat of wax on her to help protect from the salt, then clay and wax. I live in pittsburgh so its hard to string together more than 2 or 3 days of nice weather, but in between winters i try to get in a good wash and quick detailer as much as possable i like her to be shiny =)

Oops, I meant to make this a poll, but I guess I messed it up:pp:
I was a bit hungover yesterday morning, at least that's my only excuse.

My poll choices were to be.
A. What, I have to wash it? That's what rain is for.

B. Splash and dash occasionally, when it gets unsightly outside and smelly inside.

C. Fall and Spring wax and detail. At least monthly a vac and wash

D. Keep it clean enough to eat off.

E. I'm HoosierJeep:buffer:
