I'm a little worried about the following points I read about the Wrangler:

• Steering is a little vague and lacks feedback when driving on the road
• Four-wheel drive gear selector lacks precision and feels clunky
• '*********' off-roading special Rubicon variant is petrol only
• Wrangler's bluff exterior generates a little more wind noise than a regular SUV

Deoes this make sense?

If you love to wrench and have a huge pile of extra money then get the CRD. If you like the Liberty look for one with a 3.7 gas engine.
