If you don't need to have plates up front, why the plate holder?
Also, please remove that spare cover. It looks much better without the cover.

I just got her, no plates front or back. But, it was getting on my nerves too. I especially hate that its cracked. You can see a little piece flipped out on the side. I plan to get a new holder and a vanity plate for it. I only have the cover because my brother had the tire mounts rust out on him. I figured it maight protect. Not true?

Noise gone in rear end!

I am working my way through to the 60k mile maintenance. Without maintenance records, I can't be sure about the maintenance that has been performed. I changed out the rear differential gear oil for 75w-140 with a modifier. I was hearing a noise in the rear end. Since the change-out, no noise. I'll just be wating a little longer on the Detroit TrueTrack switch-out. I don't feel right changing-out a LSD that's working. I'll wait for it to go out.
