Interior Lighting Question

I did quite a bit of searching on here but to no avail. I was wondering if the steering wheel mounted 'cruise control' controls should be illuminated when the headlights are on. It's an '07 Limited. Same question with the door lock and power mirror buttons. Thanks in advance.

Not sure about the 07's but my 06...the speed controls are not illuminated.
Likewise for anything on the doors. I wish they WERE.

Only the dash and center console controls (window switches) are lit up.
