My initial thread vanished, so don't know who to thank. My wife's 2007 had an intense vibration decelerating at about 30 - 20 mph, it could not be identified because everything under the vehicle was tight. Someone on this board suggested that by pulling the drive shaft and checking for a seized U joint, or by driving on the highway and checking for a hot (seized) U joint we'd find the problem. I relayed this info to the shop where the Jeep was at, and that took care of it. There was a U joint frozen solid on the drive shaft. It's good to go now. Thank you.

Lots of people have had the same issue. They think the ujoints are good due to them feeling tight, but in reality they , like you said, are rusted /frozen solid almost.
I remember when mine went, I had check everything crawled under at one point after driving it, happened to lay my hand on the rear ujoint and WOW
Mine had about 50,000 on at the time
