Hey gang!
The Elephant brand Snorkel sold by Mudmaster Polska is a cost effective alternative to the ARB Safari snorkel.

Even with shipping and customs it is half the cost of the ARB.
Out of the box this is a nearly identical copy from a respected European company.

Installation is similar, but comparatively less involved.

You will need the following tools:
10mm wrench/socket
13mm wrench/socket
Metric Allen wrenches (hex tools)
Fender rivets and tool
Jeep Liberty Side Molding clips
Utility Knife
80mm/3 5/32 Hole saw and arbor
Sheet metal Step drill bits
Pilot drill bit 1/8th inch
Hand drill
Rotary Tool
Scraper
Shop rags
Window cleaner
Painters Tape
Duct Tape
Rust preventative spray paint
The willingness to cut and drill on your baby and likely sc.rew it up.
A replacement fender may be needed if you don’t measure twice cut once.

First thing to do is unfold and iron out the template.
Mine was die cut, so easy to trim as per the instructions.
Remove the 8.5mm holes and the 80mm hole. Save the 80mm cut out!
Temporarily install the hex head studs into the snorkel.
Fit the template to insure it is the correct one!
Clean the fender with window cleaner and shop towels.
Remove the Fender flare and the forward half of the side molding.
Remove and delete your radio antenna.
Align and tape the template in place. This step is critical! Trace the template and holes with a marker.
I use a sharpie ( the ink can be removed with ethanol)
The 80mm hole should line up with you air box offer the hood.
Use painters tape to reinstall the 80mm cut out so you can Mary the center for easy cutting!
Remove the studs from the snorkel and line it up with the template and eyeball that it is aligned.
Remove the template.
Use the step drill on the 8.5mm holes.
Use the 80mm hole saw on the big hole.
You will need to cut through the fender and the two unibody layers.
Use ductape to ensure the AC coolant line is up and out of the way!

Next reinstall the hex head studs in the snorkel. Use red LocTite to hold them in.
Test the fitment of the snorkel!
You will notice the 80mm outlet tube is a tight fit and may not fit through the middle layer. This is normal.
Pay close attention to the alignment of the upper intake. Make sure it clears your passenger door and the three stud holes for the A arm bracket are in the correct spacing to attach.
You will likely find you need to expand your holes forward and bit for a proper installation.
Remove the snorkel and set it aside.
Now, using a 10mm, carefully remove the fender.
Use your rust preventative paint on all holes in the fender. Set it aside to dry.
Expand the 80mm holes in the unibody enough the adapter and adapter seal fit. A rotary tool is your friend.
Note! The included adapter is intended for attachment to the factory air box. It will require cutting of the air box and drilling of the cast aluminum adapter. Refer to the ARB Safari snorkel pdf online for this step.
I am not doing it as I want to keep my OE airbox intact And replace it with an Apollo, technically the appropriate air box type for a snorkel application!
Using the 13mm stainless steel unlock nuts and stainless steel carriage washers, bolt the snorkel to the fender. Be careful! Do not overtorque these nuts as they will warp your fender and cause rust!
Optional: For further rust and noise prevention you may want to encapsulate each nut with silicone and seal around the 80mm outlet.
Not pictured: clearance the 80mm holes in the unibody appropriate to you application
Reinstall the fender, flare, and side molding.
Next you may desire to install the a pillar bracket. I found the one included with the kit did not fit my application. I will need to fabricate one and will include instructions at a later date. You may find the ARB pdf useful when instuyours.
Attached the outlet adapter to your airbox. Remember, your outlet must be above the filter and you must delete the factory air inlet on the box. Refer to the ARB snorkel pdf.

Congratulations! You have a snorkel!

In the future I’ll provide the steps for the airbox deletion and Apollo install

A few conclusions:

I know nothing about the fitment and design of the ARB snorkel, but found it’s installation instructions helpful. The Mudmuster outlet is a different size, but looks to be much less work to make the cuts.
I found that the lower end of the Mudmaster is not perfect, however this is easily dealt with by using black silicone to rectify the situation.
Your results and preferences may vary.
Remember a snorkel is actually ONLY for particulate control and does not increase your water fording depth!
While it does change the level of intake with the included ram scoop, the horspower increase is negligible and may actually be detrimental at Highway speeds. Anyone that claims otherwise is trying to sell you something.
If you are installing only for looks, there is no reason to connect it to your airbox.

For proper application of pre filters and such, a rather long and detailed discussion can be found on this site in my 500$ ScienceMobile build thread on page 12.

Just noticed I put this in the KK home by mistake. I’m assuming it might be similar. Oops.
