How can I tell if my 2005 Liberty Limited has the factory tow package?

Hello all, I'm new to the forum and pretty amateur when it comes to vehicles.

I'm trying to determine if my wife's 2005 Jeep Liberty Limited 3.7L V6 has the factory tow package or not.

It came with a hitch that says "Chrysler recommends..." on it but I don't know if that wire under the bumper is for towing or something else and I especially don't know if it has whatever extra cooling comes with the factory tow package.

I also don't know what class the hitch is as it doesn't say anywhere on it.

We're planning to rent a small closed top trailer for a cross county move but I'd rather not use it to tow if it doesn't have the proper cooling.

They fitted a tow hitch to all of them as a recall to provide rear crash protection. Look for an engine driven fan, that's the heavy duty cooling package.

Look into the left side of your grill. If you see a small finned cooler there, it’s the power steering cooler that comes with the tow package. The fan is attached to the front of the motor, your photo shows the electric fan. I think it should also have a connector for the trailer lights to the left of the hitch.

tow package will have 7 pin wiring plug to the left of the hitch

Tow package had a mechanical fan and clutch on front of water pump. That fan had a shroud behind the radiator. Yours doesn't have either. No Heavy Duty tow package. I flat towed a Jeep CJ2 (2400 lbs) 800 mi. with the 2007 KJ I had with no HD tow package. Depends on weight towed. Hitch is class 3. A tow lights converter is available online. A good one just plugs into existing lights with t connectors.
