I am new to the Jeep Liberty world. I have been looking at several of the compact SUV's on the market and have gravitated to the Liberty. So here I am. I am looking for a mid 2000 era Liberty as I am on a tight budget.

Welcome, not sure what you mean by mid 2000. The first gen (kj) was 2002-2007, 2nd gen (kk) was 2008-2012. After 2005 they started getting more and more electronics, some people like that others don't. Happy hunting!

Welcome to forum I'm looking for a Jeep as well from what I'm seeing they are asking way more than I'm willing to pay especially most of what I see are well over 150 thousand miles give or take a few thousand.
