Hi, im Joe.
i live just north of Detroit.
i am a tj/lj nerd, and have been for many years.
i have owned many jeeps form mild, to a crawler on 42"s.
i recently sold my 2005 rubicon unlimited sahara #592.
last night i purchased a 2007 burgundy liberty sport 3.7L.
its totally stock, with 85k miles, in decent shape.
it appears to be 42rle, np231, 3.73? i think?
no tow hooks, no skid plates, no limited slip.
im totally clueless about libertys, and im gonna need help!
good to meet u all!
thx,
Joe

its got 85k miles, and looks like it should be an ok toy. does not appear to have ever been off road. was owned by an older lady.

about to change:
oil and filter
trans fluid
power steering fluid
brake fluid
spark plugs
air filter
fuel filter if it has one?
pcv valve?
grease job.

we will check it over thoroughly.
tie rods, ball joints, hub bearings, u joints, cv shafts, brakes, look for any leaks, ect....

has a new radiator as of 2 months ago.
so in theory, coolant should b good.

the left front marker lamp lens was cracked, so I ordered 2 new ones.

oil was fairly clean, down and not milky,
I was told it was due for a change soon.

down the jeep rabbit hole I go again!

Location
Southeastern Ohio
Coolant is
f, and a big if they used HOAT coolant
Plus only use the recommended NGK copper spark plugs
Dino in the diffs
Check rear boot on front driveshaft, they like to fall apart about 75-80,000 miles
u joints take shaft out and check as they appear tight but be rusted solid almost
Fuel filter is usually good for life, my 04 has over 230,000 miles and still going
