You never said why you took your Jeep in to get looked at. Were you having issues, or was it for a check up? Take a car in and tell them "let me know if you find anything wrong", and sure enough they'll find something wrong. Some of those things on the list aren't life threatening (talking about the Jeeps life, not yours), or may be a "would be good to get to it sooner or later". Without being there to evaluate in person, nobody here can say what the severity of those "issues" may be.

i live in bc canada and i drove over from nova scotia for work, when you register a car here it needs to be inspected to register it and get insurance.

you can drive it for as long as your sticker says without registering it do things slowly .... than register it ..... yer getting hosed out there too .... cuz its b.c.

also if you have any family bac there you can renew the sticker there and mail to you ... would buy you some time.... this has been done many times in my area.

also on the exhaust .. the emissions will make you throw so much at it ... ( i thin max is 500) before they give you a conditional pass. as long as yer keeping it ... thats how alot of the hot rodders here in ontario keep getting e-tests i hope its the same there.

i'll tell you right now that we here on the forum can walk you through a couple of those fixes. The PS is probably the most serious that I see on the list.

Valve cover gasket is important too. Honestly if it's that cheap that's not too bad. Bout to do my driver's side.

Is your power steering system working? Maybe they're just trying to chase down a slow leak. The power steering fluid sometimes gets low after years of use and you can just fill it and it won't get low again for years.

If your loosing PS fluid you have a leak,it just does not "get low" after years of use.Leaks cause aeration which takes out PS pumps and racks.

Find a buddy and fix those brakes, its an easy diy job. Find a cv repair kit for the front ds, also a easy dyi job. Exhaust from a muffler shop would probably be way less expensive. Get a price on the rack and ps pump from a front end shop..most likely a tire store. You can do it in stages...but brakes first.
