what are some of the best "strongest" and "good looking" brush guards you can get for a 04 liberty renegade?

No "brush guard" will be strong enough to justify what you need to do to install them
IIRC you have to remove your front tow hooks on most or all of them
Just not worth it
Keep the tow hooks
unless you plan to NEVER go off road

Here's a link to a brush guard that I've always wanted for my KJ...

While it is true that you must mount this type where you would normally mount your tow hooks, some brush guards come with an alternate way to mount your hooks directly to the brush guard.

Another thing you must remember is that these guards only protect against brush and small trees. If you hit something hard, the guard will be pushed into the body causing more damage.

But I still want one...hey Santa...

If I were to buy one, here's what I'd buy: http://www.autoseattle.com/images/TH_liberty.jpg

Tal & Hadas grille guards, bull bars and other products have been a top seller in Europe for almost 25 years. Now T&H Off-Road brings their unique line of SUV, truck & van accessories to the U.S. for the first time. All products are made of high quality stainless steel or condensed black powder coat. All applications feature easy no-drill installation. Bull bars are 76mm (3") pipe gauge and the full grille guard's main pipe guage is 60mm or 76mm (depending on the size of the vehicle). AutoSeattle is proud to present this new line of grille guards, bull bars (A-bars) and more.

Here's the link. http://www.autoseattle.com/tal_and_hadas.htm
