Trying to replace the gear cable bushing without removing any other parts of the jeep. I can barely touch the end of the cable with one finger. There is minimum cable slack to let it hang down to do the replacement. Is there a way to get more slack on the cable so I can easily access the bushing - put car in drive or 1st gear with blocks on tires and emergency brake on?
