Which would be better to use for spraying the door jambs/door drains for winter so it is easier to clean out the salt? Is Fluid film worth the extra money?

I personally haven't used this but a few forum members have used them with good results.
My vote is on silicone spray since you are only looking to spray the door jams/drains area which you can clean and reapply easily.
