First off hi everyone. I'm new and I have a 02 Libby 3.7 sport 4wd. She has around 140k and runs great except a few things I have questions about and I hie you guys can help!!!

First I have white smoke that cones out of the exhaust when I start it. It only lasts about 5 seconds and ibky does it randomly not upon every start. Coolant and all that is fine and has a new water pump. Any ideas?

Next is the AWFUL squeaking sound from the rear only when I go slow over bumps. After some research in here I found it may be some sort of bushings?? Pease help!!

Last, when I put it into gear sometimes mostly into drive out of reverse, it will "kick" and almost jump forward a little. Hoping its not a bad ****** or a slip in it. I know I need brakes and rotors but not sure if that would effect it???

Sorry for all the questions and I hope someone can help with any and all!!!!

1st. Valve seals worn. Alowing oil to enter the cylinder whrnyou shut it off. Pull plugs to see which one or ones has oil on it.
2nd rear lower control arm and or upper rear control arm. Replace bushings or whole arm.
3rd. Seviced the transmission don't flush. Just drop pan change filter and new atf+4. There's a good chance some one has mixed fluids in it. If that is the case get it flushed. Other automatic fluids can damage the transmission. Only us ATF+4. CAN'T STRESS THAT ENOUGH.

Leaking valve stem seals don't produce white smoke. Burning oil is blue in tint.

White is going to be either burning coolant (think blown head gasket) or is just water vapor from the combustion process. Since it tends to stop after a few seconds, I highly doubt it is anything serious.

I concur on the control arm bushings causing your squeak.

As for the transmission, are you still applying brake and at almost a full stop when you shift gears? Keep in mind with an auto trans, if the vehicle is physically still moving backwards and you put it into drive, it is going to KICK/SLAM/ROUGH engage the gear. I see people do this all the time. You should be coming to a full stop (not moving) when moving between reverse and drive gears.

The other thing people do, is apply some throttle while shifting between rev and fwd gears... this increase in engine rpm (can even be from the engine revving higher during warm up in colder weather) causes rough gear engagement and can "kick".

So I'd pay very careful and honest attention to how you are driving when backing up and moving into a forward drive gear. It may just be you.

That being said, I'd still drop the trans pan, change the fluid and filter using ONLY Mopar ATF+4 as was recommended.
