Ok so again today I turn jeep off and I get light air squeaky fart sound from under the hood.
It did not sound close to cowling more up front...
Has anyone had to replace the purge solenoid?
Could this be responsible for the noise? Maybe a vacuum leak there?
Apparently it has a test port, hmm wonder what the test is...LOL..

evaps monitored pretty closely, if something starts acting up habitually itll throw a code, itll put up with a little bit of misbehaving

the voltage probably dwindled on the solenoid before it was done with a cycle when you turned the key off and it either didnt fully open or didnt fully close
mine has done it a few times, wouldnt worry about it much unless it starts doing it regularly, or throws a code

the test ports so you can suck on it with a length of fuel line , it used to be where you had to disconnect the lines and test each side with the solenoid jumpered and if you got restriction on either side it was bad.. or somethin like that anyway.. only had to replace a handfull of them, ford windstars i think lol

as long as you arent force filling it at the pump, biggest issues with the liberty, evap wise, are same as pretty much any other vehicle, gas caps here and there, and replacing rotting evap hoses back at the tank every 10yrs or so

Thanks JeepinJarhead03 for the valuable info.
It does it on an irregular basis, not too often, but was worth investigating.
Probably best to ignore it, until a code shows up then.
Just to note now, I remember giving it some 2500rpm revs before shutting the guzzler off.
I was trying to hear whats happening in the pop pop department in the muffler zone.
I think I need to get it on a lift, and find if there is a loose clamp or leak somewhere soon.

Since HJ has a code, it may be best to install a new one on the LR3.

I think it is either that or EGR valve related, I can't figure it out and I've already thrown a few hundred at it this month

Mine was making that noise regularly. I replaced the solenoid and no noise since.

Mine was making a rattling/buzzing sound for a while, then threw a P0440. I replaced it, the leak detection pump, the gas cap, and a couple of feet of hose. All golden now.
