Engine Cover

With spring here, got tired of taking the cover off every day to remove the sparrow nest, so just left it off. It doesn't seem any louder except at idle with the window down, and I like being able to see the engine when checking the oil. Any body else running thier CRD like this and what has been your experience?

I liked the engine cover. Made the Jeep seem and look special in a way.

But I didn't notice it running any quieter or louder with it on or off.

I took mine off when I installed my provent 200. ment to cut some slots in it so it would fit with the hoses that are needed for the provent but haven't and the cover is sitting in my basement for months.

Supposedly it makes the engine a little quieter, and it helps it warm up faster when cold.
