just finished installing a new aftermarket stereo and now both the dash lights and locking/unlocking lights wont work. any ideas?

just finished installing a new aftermarket stereo and now both the dash lights and locking/unlocking lights wont work. any ideas?

one of two possibile explanations
1) while stuffing the excess wire behind the deck you knocked something loose or broke something
2) you wired the deck incorrectly....how did you install the deck? did you cut the factory harness and try to splice the wires from the radio harness with the wiring on the vehicle harness? or did you do it right and get the 10 dollar pigtail adapter that connects the factory harness plug to the aftermarket radio plug?

A common noob error is to connect the ground wire to the illum wire since it sits at ground when the lights are off. Hopefully, you just blew a fuse cause a new BCM cost a lot more than the install quote you didn't want to pay. Just sayin'
