I have seen on *** Crap where the car is off /parked in summer, yet the fan continues to run for a while to cool the system further after shut down.
Sems KJ does not have this feature. Is there any mod for this?

In our KJs the fan relay is controlled by the PCM, so, when veh if off, PCM is in stand by mode, and does nothing
other than keeping stored data. Older vehicles have the rad fan connected to a thermo switch which is probably
run straight from the battery.
Guess it's about safety issues (remember the notice -never stick Your hand into the fan, even with engine off- ?).

Mod? Probably just putting a relay in parallel will do, but then, how would You switch it on?

Añso. don't think it's an issue, probably in a diesel, but still I .

I am really not diggin the stand alone electrical fan set up. You are putting your faith in the relay, pcm and temp sensor and fan to work, to cool the system. Seems Micky mouse without the mechanical fan assembly. Last summer in 90 degrees, After being on the highway and then got stuck in traffic in construction zone, only to find out that the under hood temps were absolutely ridiculous. I had to idle the jeep with the hood open for 10 minutes, to get temps back down to under 210 degrees. The fan was running but was reading about 240 degrees water temp.
Possibly the best solution then is to add another push fan in front of the rad. It could be wired by switch inside by driver. This would help when moving slowly and could be left on to cool when Jeep is turned off for 10 minutes or so. It would serve as a back up if the main fan ever failed to turn on as well. You really got to keep an eye and test the fan to make sure it is working. Nothing worse than the potential for overheating.

Running the electric fan does not do much if
engine is not running rather that the water pump
is not moving the water

I know that on the VW's with Turbo engines the fan runs
after shut down to lower under hood temps

I have both mechanical factory fan and an electric
pusher in front
out on the trail under slow crawling conditions in
the Louisiana summer heat the mechanical is just
not quite enough when the AC is on so I switch
the pusher on to help out
In the future I plan a full electric fan
With this no matter how slow the engine is going
like in crawl conditions I will get full speed air flow

What size pushing fan did you mount up front? got a photo? 10" 12"?
I suppose you just used the push through straps to mount it.
