I think something like "box for rocks" might work. Looks like plenty of room anyway.

I've been able to catch up on my reading of my
Periodicals...
I have read several articles about Yota owners running
dual transfer cases in their Rig's.

So...

Is it possible to run a dual transfer case setup in a KJ?

Look into the doubler they make for the JK
should work fine for your KJ
same trans and basically the same t-case

would give you
1 to 1
2.73 to 1
and I think
7.45 to 1
let me google it

yup
called a rubi crawler by advanced adapters

Somewhere between being sane and insane!
We know about the Rubi Crawler, Jen and I will be getting
one around Christmas...
I was just wondering if anybody has ever tried a dual
transfer case setup in a KJ? I figure it would cost allot
less than the $1500.00+ Rubi Crawler add on!
It would run about the same or more then the RubiCrawler.New driveshafts will be needed which is a big cost over the RubiCrawler(none needed). You could do a 203/205 doubler but weighs like 200lbs,or get a 4 speed Atlas.

I plan to one day do a flipped 300 in the TJ
not sure it could be done in a KJ
the Rubi crawler is not an option as I have the TF999
but the 300 and adapter will work
add to that a 4 to 1 kit and for about $1500 including the cost of the case
I will have a gear driven 4 to 1 case with twin sticks
and I know of a company that will build me a new skid that will give me
another 1" or so of ground clearance ,frame rail to frame rail NO drop
yeah that will put the cost near $2000 but I need a new front drive shaft
any way or will by the time I do this
the splines are wearing in the slip joint same for the rear

Interesting what Troy mentioned as far as cost is concerned. The Rubi Crawler looks more appealing and less work compared to messing with two transfer cases! This is why I asked the question...

Also cool what you have planned J. Sounds like good bang for the buck!
