Crankcase breather

New here, I have 2002 Jeep liberty limted 3.7L and have a question about the crankcase breathers located on the rear of the engine, can one replace them with nipples ( fittings) and move them into the hose itself? There a pain to get to , (I think the 2004 has this set up not sure,) because both of mine are missing at the present time,found this when I was checking the EVAP SYSTEM out do to check light on.guess the person who had be fore me had and after market air fillterand just through the stock back on when they sold it , tanks in advance for the help

Can you take a picture for us to see what the issue is? You can replace the nipples on the engine block, but they are hard to get at.

I attach 3 pictures showing the location and the parts, I ant put hose nipple in and attached hose and put the breathers in the hose, from my experience plastic and metal not a good combo
