ok, I am losing about half a gallon of coolant per 2 months. Nothing leaking on the ground and I'm not making oil. Any ideas where else it might be going?

Also, have a creaking kind of noise when I turn at slow speeds. Coming from the rear end.

oh yeah, 2002 with 129k miles. thanks

Burning it?? Have you tried putting down a large piece of cardboard to park on at night to be absolutely sure your not leaking it?

Otherwise your going to have to check to make sure your not getting coolant in a cylinder. I had that problem on a vehicle i owned once, we took a leakdown tester and filled each cylinder with compressed air, one at a time with it at top dead center, until we saw bubbles in the radiator. Turned out to be a leaky head gasket.

I agree. It could be going into a cylinder. It could also be caused by a bad intake gasket.

Before you go so far as a leak down test, just pull all the plugs out and see if one of them is REALLY white and clean looking. If there is a marginal leak the spark plug will look almost new.

As for the suspension, if it's still stock, is about done. Might want to consider new coils/struts(front)/shocks soon.:)
