After more than five years my OEM rim’s clear coat is peeling I’m not ready to spend $$ on five new ones. What I want to do for the mean time is scrap, peal, sandblast, ect.. All the clear coat finish and paint the wheel with some black over the counter spray paint as well as apply some clear coats. Has anyone done this to their rims? SHow pics if you have.

Bad idea, for one. And don't blame DCx. They use the same paint every European auto maker uses on their rims and it is very good stuff. Wurth Clear Coat is the OEM paint everyone uses, and I would suggest using it again, yourself, when you repaint them. If you can find it that is, considering it was recalled in December or something for nozzle clogs on their cans. A little Bulldog adhesion promoter is all you will need
