Went out for a ride with my boys yesterday and had a couple issues come up. First, I went to put the libby into 4wheel high and the handle wouldn't engage at all. I've had this problem before so I went underneath to see if the linkage disengaged, but it was in tact underneath. Any ideas of what else it could be?

Second hit a rock kinda hard (it was covered in snow!) while driving about 35 and a few mins later started hearing some weird noises in my front driver side. Sounds like I blew a strut. But later in the day the steering seemed off as well. I'm sure it needs an alignment but when I get up to about 65-70 there is noticable wobble. The only thing I haven't replaced on the front end are the CV axles. I'm about 90% sure something busted there as well. Any thoughts?

Thanks guys.

Inspection time,big time.
Check everything. Ball joints, Rod ends,CV shafts/boots ok,no leaks, anything look bent? Etc...Is there any rotational noises or rattles etc?
Get it aligned after all is well.
Do you have a commad trac- or selec trac transfer case? Auto transmission?
I shift into N on transmission rolling slowly forward, then pull up into a 4X4 gear, then return transmission to Drive.
Check to see if there is a bushing present at transfer case linkage.
Any member got a photo of their nylon bushing? Feel free to post it to help this thread out.

Agree, you need to get under it and put your own peepers to work. Look for something that has fresh shiny scrape marks on it. You hit a snow covered rock, in Arizona, in May? Where were you?

Safety!

Would not drive jeep again until inspected. What if you lost steering at 60mph? Scary thought. Could be many things but check for bent wheel too as you have a wobble. Something is out of whack obviously.

If your shift linkage broke off the tcase, use a homedepot cotter pin for a cheap and better replacement to the nylon bushing, the cotter pin will still slip off before the tcase takes dmg but will be much stronger than the stock part
