Burning Smell & White Smoke

Our's isn't a car either...it's a Heep - in a class by itself. Could be a UV, but way too well appointed for even that. Maybe it's a cooler SUV. Nah, I like Heep better, altho my wife calls it Yogi...something about it being cool and littler.:shrug:

Check your antifreeze...usually is attributed to burnt white smoke. But a plastic smell? Sure the tensioner is turning and not burning the serp. belt?:flame:

Update on the burning smell and smoke:

I finally broke down and replaced the valve cover gaskets. No smoke, no smell. As far as the repairing the hoses, nothing beats duct tape.
