Sounds like the starter is on it's way out.You will also want to cut your battery tray so that temp sensor is contacting the battery for a proper charge.

I knew I read that somewhere!!! it was you. and great.. another thing to replace on my wonderful jeep. I love being 17 and owning this money pit!

On the speed sensor, follow the wiring from the sensor on the top of the rear diff to the frame, from what i read the parking brake cable crosses it at some point and that rubs through. If thats not the case then you got moisture in the connector and corroded it, thats why some had to replace the connector.

As for the money pit comment...

I know it *****, but batteries, starters, brakes, tires, sensors, stuff like that is just wear items that go out. Better than a serious mechanical problem.
