Has anyone done a DIY change of your front and rear axle fluid yet? Any tips?
It seems the front diff has a heavy duty protector on the front of it... does this swing out of the way once you unbolt it?
I noticed the rear diff has a rubber plug on the fill hole.. is this a functional plug or just a cover over a metal screw plug?
Has anyone had success with any kind of pump to suck out the old fluid through the fill hole to make the job 100 times easier?
I did find these references:
"Front Axle Fluid is a API-GL5 grade.It takes 42oz."
