Are we talking about the one in the instrument cluster or the one on the grab handle???
If it's the instrument cluster, it'll go out. Come on in my Durango, shut it off, and start back up, no light...if that doesn't work, take it in...
If it's one the grab handle, it'll stay on if there's little to no load in the seat...

Yup, time to have it checked out.
Mine came on in the Durango the night before we had to make a 1200 mile trip home...
It went out the next morning though...

man mine comes on and off but mostly on all the time and i got an 02

So is the light on the grab handle supposed to stay on "air bag off" when there is no one in it? It only seems to light up when my daughter is sitting in it. "light load" Just seems there would be no point for the air bag to be on if no one is sitting in the passenger seat, if in an accident. Sorry i have the 04

The light will come on with little to no load in the seat....
So when there is NO LOAD in the seat should it be on? or off? My light is OFF with no load
Come to think of it, it should only come on if there is a small load.
If there is none, or larger load, it'll be off...
