about glow plug relay/module

Hello everybody,

My glow plug relay has problem, I got P1261 fault
I need to know that, what is the part number of glow plug relay ? Because I con not find the original relay ( bosch : 0 281 003 034 )
is there an alternative part that I can use instead of the original relay?

I think it's obsolete, the replacement one should be a 083, also used in VWs so should be easier to get.

thanks, if I use it ( 083 ) do you know that is it necessary to make a modification in the ECU software??

I'm sorry I don't know, I suspect its just plug and play though.

Just did the same replacement though kept the plugs, just changed the relay. Still had no glow light on the dash but tons of errors reaccured after deletion.
Is a new allignment in the ECU neccessary?
