A/C fan speed

I have a 2003 Liberty Freedom Edition. The fan on my blower will blow your cap off when its in fan only mode. When I turn on the A/C and put in recirc mode the air speed coming out of the vents cuts in half. I have to run the fan at full blast just to keep the interior cool. What would cause this reduction in fan/air speed when i run the A/C? Thanks for any help or ideas.

Remove the glove box. Very easy to do. Look straight through the opening and you will see a screen on the mixing box. It's probably completely covered in dust and plugged. Vacuum it clean and the airflow on recirc will be like new.
