Could I install 245/65/17 tires on my 2002 without a lift kit? I currently have 235/65/17's installed with no problem.

The difference is about a half inch taller and about half and inch wider.
(29.5 x 9.64) That measures about the same as 245/70/R16 which fits non-lifted KJs.

I finally had my Michelin LTX MS 245/65/17's installed today. They sure fill-out the front wheel well nicely but boy are they close when at full lock. They do rub slightly when in reverse. I hope they don't rub when off road. No lift kit.

Pre-lowered 2002 Jeep KJ Limited.
