Took the jeep on 4 hour drive today to test it out. It was a 2 hour drive to Pick-N-Pull in Va Beach in 95 degrees on the interstate at 70mph. Temps stayed at 208-210 the whole drive. I was in the yard about an hour getting a console lid, rearview mirror, and a 430RBZ radio. Came out and started it, missing and white smoke out the exhaust. The smoke cleared after a couple of minutes of running and miss went away so I knew it wasn't drawing enough water to cause a permanent misfire. I needed to jut get it home being that far away. The 2 hours home ran fine and never went over 219. Let it cool down and pulled all the plugs and sure enough it was cylinder #1, the same cylinder that they put new valve seats in. I'm pretty sure that cylinder is cracked. When I put it together and first ran it I was wondering about that. I actually called the machine shop to make sure they pressure tested it after putting in the seats and surfacing it and the owner said it was a "guy who helps out part time" that did mine and he was not around to ask. So long story short they did not pressure test it. So I have to pull this head, get another and have it surfaced, new bolts and gasket! All I can say right now is PTL, Lol. At least the radio upgrade worked.
