I have a 2007 Jeep Liberty Unlimited it has been having an issue where it periodically says the left rear door is ajar and the lights go on and off and it beeps at me. Originally i have seen people say that i need to spray WD40 in the lock as its dirty and doesn't make contact. I have tried this and it did not help. I have also heard of the wiring between the door and frame having issues i have checked this and the wires look good and i sprayed it with contact cleaner and no help. I then replaced the lock with a OEM lock from Chrysler and it is still doing it. Any help would be much appreciated as i have been trying to scour the internet for solutions and really haven't found anything for this.

Ended up taking the Jeep to the dealership and they said they couldn't get the door sensor to say its open. I told them to drive it over the weekend and it will do it. Sure enough they had it do it. They ran a new wire from the BCM to the door sensor and it has so far fixed the problem.
