My wife drives a 2006 Liberty, and this week the A/C control switch began giving her problems. The A/C only works when the control switch is in the 4th position. It will not operate at all when in positions 1-3.
What might cause an issue like this?????

Thanks for your assistance,

Welcome to forum.

When you say only on position 4, Do you mean the fan speed? If so...

Its the blower motor resistor that died. $15 dollar part @ the local auto parts store. Located behind the glove box. Takes about 15 minutes
to swap out.

I swapped out one on my wife's 2002 liberty a few years back.

EDIT.
This is the site I used to repair mine. I didn't follow it completely but used the pics as references to know what I was going in there for. The pics showed the glove box removed. I just release the side clips to drop it down so I was able to gain access. It wasn't worth the trouble to remove it completely.

Not a Problem. The stores should have it in stock since it's used in multiple Dodge.Chrysler vehicles. I would call them ahead to save your self driving time. Just ask for a Blower Motor Resistor for a 2006 Liberty.
