We had the engine in our 2005 liberty replaced last week. It was running fine then yesterday it would not start. The instrument panel lights up,no solenoid clicking, no sound at all.Battery is good. On one of the attempts to start this morning i could not move the shift lever out of park. I finally did get it started after the 5th try. Can anyone weigh in on what might be going on. Thanks JB

Not without guessing at common causes... would need to know if any DTC's (Diagnostic Fault Codes) are stored within the engine management system (computer).

Have you contacted whomever installed the engine? I mean, it was LAST WEEK.

Do the dash lights momentarily go out when you turn the key to START? If no, could be possible ignition switch failure. If yes, but no cranking is occurring, then possible starter motor failure. Does the Key-Security icon blink on the dash?
