There are two relays under the hood for the radiator fan. High and Low.

Is there also a fuse for this circuit?

My fan is new but not turning on.

Will be testing power to the fan wires tomorrow, but just thought I would ask..

Thanks

Fuse number 2 (30 A) in the fuse/relay box under the hood for the 2005 KJ.

Make sure the Ground wire for the fan is doing its job...should be a Black wire going to ground....try add a tempory ground to it if it is not a blown fuse problem.

Otherwise the PCM is not switching either of the two relays ON.
Try removing either the high speed or low speed relay and briefly jumper pins 30 to 87 inside the relay socket....fan should run at either high or low speed.

How do you know the fan is not working? Perhaps the engine is not hot enough to engage it. Is is winter after all.

One way to test the fan is to turn on your air conditioner. This should start the fan after a few minutes of AC operation.

The radiator fan will kick in with the following conditions:
engaged when the ,air conditioning system is
activated. The relay is also energized when, air conditioning
is selected and coolant temperature is
above 95° C ( 203° F), or , air conditioning is selected
and battery temperature sensor is above 41° C (106°
F). It will then de-energize when , air conditioning is
selected and coolant temperature is below 92° C
(198° F), or , air conditioning is selected and battery
temperature is below 38° C (100° F).
