Just got a hold of a Jeep CRD 2005. It was to replace my other 2006 one with high miles after the ecm went out, figured not worth the fix since the valves are up next lol. Anyway this 05 one has about 50k less miles at 148k, some things i noticed immediately was the belt tensioner pulley is shaking badly, causing a mean chatter noise at belt. It also is throwing a bit of blow by which I’ll be honest concerns me. I’m planning to use it as a daily for work and hiking adventures, and I know these diesels are tough even with all their little problems haha. Was thinking of using some Lucas Oil to help with the blow by as I use it a lot on the big rigs I work on. Or is that a no -no for These smaller diesels? I’ll attach some photos so you guys can see feel free to shoot me your thoughts I value everybody’s experience as I’m still young and have a lot to learn!

Also second picture is of the undercarriage looks like the axle is leaking?

The little CRD is more like an industrial engine when you look inside.
I doubt oil thickening will help with blown by. Check the breather system isn't blocked with crud.
I'd pop the aux belt off, check the tensioner and all the other pulleys. I did all the idlers and the tensioner pulley on mine. There's a post on here about it, I used cheap VW pulleys, easier to find than CRD ones.
