2004 Overheated - Damage?

About 3 months ago the radiator got a hole in it while driving and overheated. It probably ran for 2-5 minuets before I was able to get it to a spot I could stop and get some coolant in it. I know that letting these things overheat will pretty much guarantee an early demise for these motors. How much damage was done in those few minuets?

The Jeep needs about $1000 worth of other miscellaneous work (valve cover gaskets, muffler, oil pan) and I’m trying to decide if it’s worth doing that work or trading it in on something else.

No crystal ball here. How many miles on this Jeep/ year?
Obviously overheating is not good, were any dash lights flashing?
How hot did it get? well into red I assume.
Hole in rad, means new mopar rad for starters and it sounds like you have other issues ++.
It is times like these, either you want to $$ restore it or not.

150k. Replaced the radiator like 3 months ago and 2 weeks later put a used transmission in it. It got maxed out for like,10 seconds and then went back to normal, and I pulled over within a couple of minuets. With all the money I just put into it, if doing these few things will get it to 200k I’ll probably keep it. If people with more experience say that the motor is probably screwed after getting that hot then it will probably get traded in.

Did you use Hoat or Zerex-G05 coolant when you replaced the rad?
How does the engine sound? Any clickity noises from valve train etc?
You could do a compression test, to see overall how the engine @150k is doing.
While plugs are out crank it a few times, make sure no coolant is flying out.
Could also use a bore scope to have a peak in there.
If you have no white smoke out of tailpipe, that is also good sign.
Keep an eye for external coolant leaks and do inspect coolant level as well, look for bubbles or oil mixing with coolant on dipstick.
Do an oil change if it has not been done already.

I would be worried about the valve seats popping out. At that mileage if I overheated mine, I would most likely remove the heads and have the valve seats replaced. I've taken very good care of my KJ though so I feel like it 'should' have plenty of life left in her at 150,000mi.
