!!!Please Help!!! If I can't fix it wife says it has to go...
I have a 2004 Jeep liberty that was in a wreck, After the wreck if the RPM's drop below 1000-1500 RPM's the motor stalls/shakes a little and wants to shut off, So if I am at a traffic light I put it in neutral and rev until light turns green.
The other issue is that when I am accelerating I can only accelerate up to 3000-3500 RPM's once I hit that range, the Tachometer bounces and the car sputters in and out but doesn't stall, it just will not allow me to accelerate past that range.
I took it to a few shops/dealers but no one seems to want to put forth the effort to troubleshoot the issue, they just want to swap the motor, which I don't understand since the compression is good. Any help on where to start is appreciated. I've been thinking Idle Air Control or Throttle position but not sure if it may be a bigger issue.
Thanks
