Hello all, I need some help on buying some new rims. I'm looking into some Cragar's, either D Windows, or soft 8's but keeping the stock 16" rim size. But I can't seem to find the right back spacing, or anything that would work without modification. I figured I'd ask people who have experience with this, rather than just guessing. Thanks in advance .

You need a lift for 8 inch wide wheels.

I'm just trying to find wheels that will take my current tires (225 70R16) with no modification, and everywhere I look, I see conflicting answers. Just trying to get a different look.

A 7 inch wide, 16 inch diameter wheel should work! 5 x 4.5 bolt pattern. Not sure on what backspacing would work.

Well, stock backspacing is 5.5", and I sadly cannot find any Cragar's with 5.5" or 5". Or any black rims within my price range with that backspacing. Paint is plan B now.

I'd say 50$ worth of paint and a couple hours of your time is worth it for brand new looking rims. I will be doing that this summer when its a bit warmer out.

I think thats the option I'm going with. If I don't like the look, they can always be re-painted.
