Had solenoid wire fail at starter (push-on) connector. Corroded copper, nothing left but green powder in the terminal. Ordered some new ones (TE Connectivity/Amp brand Positive Lock). Easy enough fix, reminds me of the Ford type from mid 90's.
Plug part numbers for anyone in need:
172320-2 (housing)
170454-1 (terminal)
I'm fairly certain on the part numbers, but will post results in a few days when parts are in. I'm extending the wire a couple of inches also and putting heat resistant loom over it. Think it's 14 awg stranded copper.
Has anyone replaced one of these connectors? Wondered if there was a pigtail (quick fix) available, I couldn't find one, only for Ford.
Thanks all, and Happy 4th!
