i have a chuffing ticking noise quite loud coming from the front two fuel injectors i can also smell exhaust fumes are there any seals or anything that sit between the injector and the head ? if so how do i change them ?

I see you have posted this question on another forum without any reply so I shall try to help...I also have the 2002 2.5 CRD but have not had to work on the injectors!
There is a copper washer under the injectors....there are also major warnings about dealing with the extreme high pressures involved that can cause major injury.
