2002 bogging

when my liberty is in drive it idles fine... but as soon as I put it into drive RPM drops to around 500 RPM and wants to die, it runs and drives fine I just have to 2 foot it :favorites68: . anyone else have or had this issue? :favorites68:

Idle air control solenoid

The idle air control solenoid needs replaced and the housing clean that it bolts needs to be cleaned of carbon build up.

Even tho IAC controls idle, it needs to be in tune. Agreed^ clean TB & Ports/IAC.
Is the engine light on? If so what codes are stored?
When was the last time you replaced spark plugs? Jeep likes new OEM/Ngk plugs every 35k miles.
